Green Lunch Charter Ceremony

The Green Lunch Charter Ceremony jointly launched by the Environment Bureau and Education Bureau was held on 26 Feb 2010 at the Yaumati Catholic Primary School (Hoi Wang Road). Participating schools have pledged to adopt on-site meal portioning and use reusable food containers and cutlery. This will help reduce waste, promote healthy living and inculcate the values of caring for the environment among students. By the end of March 2010, over 280 schools have signed the Green Lunch Charter.
