Computer & Communication Products Recycling Programme

Launched in January 2008, the Computer & Communication Products Recycling Programme (CCRP) is the second voluntary Producer Responsibility Scheme in Hong Kong.  It has been set up and funded by the computer trade to provide a means for the public to recycle their used computer equipment and communication products in an environmentally sound manner. The CCRP liaises with various suitable charitable organizations to donate the computers that are still in working conditions to the needy. With the extension of the Programme in October 2015, general communication products, such as mobile phone and routers can also be recycled.

To enhance public awareness in the recycling of computers and communication products, the Programme provides a Helpdesk Hotline (5575 4068) that is operated from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Property management / representatives of housing estates and buildings who are interested in participating the Programme are welcome to call the Hotline for more information and application for registration.
