Introduction

In 2007, EPD launched the "Programme on Source Separation of Commercial and Industrial Waste" which aims to encourage the property management sector to undertake initiative to set up and implement suitable mechanism to separate and recover waste within commercial & industrial (C&I) buildings. This voluntary programme will facilitate the tenants / occupants to practice waste separation and recycling in workplace with ease.

How to join

Any C&I buildings can join the program free of charge in the capacity of the Management Company, Incorporated Owners' Committee or Owners' Committee. One may download the brochure and application form and fax the completed form to EPD or complete the Online Form.

To encourage participating C&I buildings to increase the quantity of recyclables recovered and to reduce the amount of waste requiring disposal, EPD will organize a 2022/23 Commendation Scheme/Competition on C&I buildings to commend the members with outstanding performance. You may download the 2022/23 Commendation Scheme/Competition brochure (Chinese version only) and quarterly report form for materials recovered for more details.

The information provided would be used solely for Programme on Source Separation of Waste/ Commendation Scheme and EPD's statistics. The EPD will not disclose the information provided by Property Management Company or Resident Organization to any third parties without Property Management Company or Resident Organization's prior consent.
