In support of the Fourth National Ecology Day, the Environmental Protection Department will carry out a one-day promotion activity called "2X GREEN$ Reward for Recycling on National Ecology Day". Members of the GREEN$ Electronic Participation Incentive Scheme who submit designated types of recyclables (including waste paper, metals, plastics, glass containers, regulated electrical equipment, small electrical appliances, compact fluorescent lamps/fluorescent tubes, rechargeable batteries and beverage cartons) to any facility of the community recycling network, GREEN@COMMUNITY (i.e. Recycling Station, Recycling Store, Recycling Spot) or smart recycling bin under the Environmental Protection Department for recycling on 15 August 2026 can earn double GREEN$ points.
